Name: Nebula Door: Re-App was a Dominant Canon: Marvel Cinematic Universe Canon Point: post-Guardians of the Galaxy 3 Age: 36 Appearance: Image History: Wiki CR AU (Optional): Nebula was in Duplicity before, for nearly a year before leaving. In that time she lived a life unlike the one she'd been accustomed to. Being stuck in one place and one singular city was something she'd never really experienced as a space traveler and she found it suffocating at first. She never grew to like Duplicity's rules but the other aspects of life here had started to grow on her. Running a business (the Red Emerald), taking care of her Submissives as she had them, and doing normal everyday activities like going out to dinner or to fancy parties. She'd grown quite close to her Submissive James Kirk as well and seeing how he suffered in the city steeled her hatred for the leadership that made them into their playthings. She worked with Jim and D'Artagnan in an attempt to fight the city that ultimately failed and had been looking for other ways to undermine it and fight back before she left the last time. After a life under Thanos' thumb, being forced under the thumb of this city galled her. However, she found she did enjoy some aspects of Duplicity, mainly that she truly thrived as a Dominant. Ordering others around and dominating them in the bedroom came rather naturally to her, even if she resented the environment on the whole. Personality: Positive Trait: Caring: This is a trait about Nebula that's not always readily apparent to those who don't know her, as it's usually hidden under many layers and her desire to keep people at a distance. She's quick to insult people and to anger, but deep down, Nebula cares about people who show her kindness in return. She was also willing to let herself be tortured to death to keep Thanos from the soul stone and thwart his intention at murdering half the galaxy. When she was stranded in space with Tony Stark, he treated her well. They grew close aboard that ship, working together to try and get the ship functional again and survive. Even when she was certain they would both starve and die, she took care of him, giving him the last of their food and blankets. She's shown other instances of this with Rocket especially, both sharing in their grief of the loss of their friends and family after the Snap. Once she lets someone into her heart, she's willing to do a lot for them-- even going so far as stealing Bucky Barnes arm for Rocket as a Christmas present. Also when she found out that Rocket survived after his incident with Adam Warlock that nearly killed him she had a breakdown of joy at hearing his voice. Negative Trait: Insecure: Nebula spent most of her childhood and adult life fighting for her father Thanos' approval, only to forever be found wanting. Each time she failed to best her sister in combat, Thanos would replace a piece of her body with machinery so she'd have some hope of being her equal. Every time she would lose. This made her try her very sensitive about criticism and quick to anger because of it. She knows deep down that she could never be as good as her sister, and that insecurity is ever present in the way she pushes herself and why she'd tried to kill her sister many times before they reconciled. She views herself as a failure, although anyone who might suggest it, she'd be quick to argue with or fight. Nebula is also insecure about how she looks because of what her father had done to her, with so much of her body replaced with cybernetic parts, lamenting that she'd 'not always been like this' to Rhodey. While this trait has improved some since she's been in Duplicity last, with Rocket helping adjust and in some cases enhance the cybernetic modifications on her body to make them more her own, and her slowly finding more of her humanity (or whatever account for humanity when one's an alien), this trait is still the strongest negative trait she has. Negative Trait: Sadistic: Her father trained Nebula to kill since she was a child, becoming an assassin in his name. Because of this, she's built up a reputation for herself as the biggest 'sadist in the galaxy' with the pleasure she seemed to take in hurting people. While she's grown a lot since leaving her father's side and joining the Guardian's of the Galaxy, she's still quick to violence and to using it as a solution. She also derives pleasure in the pain of others. Tony Stark noted in a private message to Pepper Potts about Nebula: "You'd love her. Very practical, only a tiny bit sadistic." indicating she must have shown some signs of it while caring for him and his injuries aboard the ship they were stranded on. As much as she's grown since who she was under Thanos' thumb, some of that nature does shine through and hasn't left her entirely. Negative Trait: Competitiveness: Nebula spent most of her life trying to best her sister to avoid Thanos' inevitable punishment of replacing a part of her body, so naturally this has made her extremely competitive. This was manifested most strongly with the Gamora from her timeline, always trying to do better than her or show her father that she could do the best of the two of them. She was also quick to go after Gamora after learning she'd betrayed their father so that she might be able to finally win his favor over her. This feeling never entirely left her, even when she was finally on good terms with her sister and left her father behind, always wanting to show herself as better than others around her. This sometimes manifests itself in her being quick to point out when someone is stupid or an idiot, like Antman when they first met, or screaming it at most all the Guardians at one point or another. Despite her competitiveness, she also could never win against her sister, so when Tony Stark finally let her win at a silly game like paper football, it meant a great deal to her. It also showed a stark contrast for how she could be treated by people who really cared about her, as opposed to her father. Powers and Abilities: Nebula is a cyborg as well as an alien from the planet Luphom (a luphomoid). Because of this, she is far stronger than the average human being and is incredibly durable. She's survived a canon blast at close range, falling far distances, the vacuum of space, and incredible injuries because of a regeneration implant that helps heal her still organic flesh and repair her mechanical ones. She has a number of cybernetics that strengthen her, like a communicator planted in her brain, that also records her memories, and bionic eyes. Rocket also enhanced her cybernetic arm making it capable of changing form into a blade and also into a high powered gun. This arm can be nerfed some in the game so that it's not quite as powerful or doesn't work when she tries to use it as a gun on any SIN guards. In addition to her cybernetic and inherent abilities as a luphomoid, Nebula is an expert fighter and assassin, she can fight hand to hand, and with blades or blasters. She's also a skilled space pilot. Inventory: Jetpack used to fly and her electroshock batons. Samples: TDM sample here |
Someone's baaack!
Any exophiliacs out there? Or maybe you've got a hint of robofilia? Although, Nebula is technically a cyborg and not a robot. She's planning to fight this place and our rules again, but we've already got her number. We're watching, and we'll be ready when she tries. But could be she wants to get caught? Don't let her fool you, she's not just a sadist, she's a masochist too.
